no girly bits. i promise.
Apr. 21st, 2005 10:43 pmYeah. Not much to say really, except OMG KRISTY'S COMING TOMORROW!!!1
Yay. Even though I just saw my partner-in-crime at spring break, I'm thrilled that I get to see her again before the summer, or (heaven forfend) sometime in August.
Of course, this means I ought to be doing homework now, so that I'll be free this weekend. Hey, man -- I did my part: I watched M*A*S*H for my history paper. There's always more to be done, but it'll happen eventually, right? If I get up early and work at the Association for three hours, I could be finished before noon, which gives me an hour and some for studiousness.
Turns out this is rather dull. Sorry, team.

ETA: Finally,
olivia_circe's music meme.
1) Total volume of music files on my computer?
326.5 MB, which is a little sad, yes -- 93 songs, less than 6 hours total. But hey, new computer -- I haven't had time to amass things yet, and I'm still all discouraged from losing two years of stuff (Cat Stevens! Let It Be! That Travis cover of "Baby One More Time"!) in the J-term system wipe. :(
2) The last CD I bought was...
Robbie Williams, Greatest Hits. [defensive] It was a last-minute impulse buy in the Heathrow Virgin Records. I had cash pounds to get rid of. It was almost Kylie Minogue. [/defensive]
3a) The last song I listened to before writing this was...
"Let Go," Frou Frou; on the blessed MHC iTunes network.
3b) Song playing right now:
Sweet Jesus. This is the down-side of iTunes: "I Want You," Savage Garden. 1997, what?
4) Five songs I listen to a lot or that mean a lot to me. (Lately)
Er. I've been listening to NPR, and other people's iTunes, so I can't just cheat and check the recently played list. This is going to be...random.
1. Griffin House, "Waste Another Day"
The first track on "Emily's Cool Mix," a surprise present from Jackie back in February. It's all moody, and strummy, and yaye.
2. Simon and Garfunkel, "Only Living Boy in New York"
Because I got onto a Garden State kick over spring break, and haven't been able to shake it. Because this is another one that gets stuck in my head. Because there's never enough Simon and Garfunkel in my life, and when I'm in the right mood, that bit at the bridge makes me tear up a little.
3. Hanson, "Mmmbop"
I refuse to justify this one. Except to say that it makes me giggly. (See also "Where's the Love.")
4. Jump Little Children, "Lover's Greed"
Another from "Emily's Cool Mix," this gets bonus points for being slightly more upbeat without going over the top (that position is reserved for Jimmy Fallon's "Idiot Boyfriend," further up on the mix). Plus, it's pretty.
5. Harry and the Potters, "Wizard Chess" and "Save Ginny Weasely".
I don't even have to listen to them that much -- I just have to hear one or the other, and both get stuck in my head for days. In fact, just from typing the words, I'll be singing "Oh, oh, ohohoh/we'll play wizard chess this Christmas" all weekend.
5) Which 5 people are you passing this baton to, and why?
mirror_dancer and
sadai (most frequent commenters)
alc517 (to see if she's still reading :))
llogan (it's not a phone call, but it's cheaper)
auntyem (because I miss my driving buddy)
