There is little that is more depressing than the failure of my computer to function properly these days. I've been without a word processor since LITS "saved" the machine in January and reinstalled Windows. My efforts to remedy that have not gone well.

Joining the many who are taking LOTR's sweep tonight (yes, I'll stop arguing the semantics--it was a sweep, dammit) as a personal victory. :) Not the most thrilling awards ceremony ever (no upsets to speak of), but damn satisfying.

Props to the LOTR cast and crew for finally getting what they deserved for the years of hard work, and thus appearing on my TV this evening--because in the end, it's all about bringing the pretty. More hobbitses at the Oscars mean more hobbitses for the man wall; therefore, it really is all for my personal benefit. *big grin*

Highlight of the day? Suzuki, without question. Although I'm going to be damn sore tomorrow morning--about 8 hours from now, I'm positive I won't be so happy about it. The really impressive part is how much is still ingrained in my muscle memory from last winter. I was so excited to Suzuki that I left the prompt book in my room (ran back to get it, despite the shakes) and was generally a flake all night (at least, that's the excuse I'm going with ;)).

Another highlight: celebrity fashion. tee hee )

Anyway, I also accomplished quite a bit today, including sending in my taxes and getting a rec for my Bath application. And I almost died trying not to laugh out loud at this in the computer lab. Much more entertaining than the show has actually been in years.

hee!

In other news, I just have to share how much I love my musicals class. Because it seriously rocks. This week is devoted entirely to Fred Astaire, and I'm so embarrassingly pumped--which is weird, considering that I'd never actually seen an entire Fred Astaire movie until last semester. (Excepting Holiday Inn, which I left after the Presidents' Day blackface number. *shudders*) At this rate, my Fred-love could come to rival banannagoats' Gene-love. And that is truly frightening.

I IM'd jfray the Kerry-as-Nick photo today. Her mom walked past, and thought it was actually a picture of ex-boyfriend Nick. This is good, as it means I'm not entirely crazy, although it doesn't explain that guy I saw at UMass last week who looked like Ian Dodge. *shrugs*
