Just a quick update on the Week from Hell.
Monday: Mom gets laid off. I spend too much time in the theatre. The network--where both of my papers are saved--is down. Progress on homework: minimal.
Tuesday: Network's back up. Oversleep and miss yoga--have to make up a class. English prof is remarkably unhelpful for English paper (due Thurs). Plan to complain and get extension for film is ruined by overachievers who turn in their 14-page midterms two days early. Damn them. More writing after class, head to library at 6:30; return home at midnight. Finish Dante, start outlining English; in be by 3 am. Progress on homework: significant.
Wednesday: Actually get up for 8:35 anthro (good), work on English draft in LITS for 1.5 hours (not good enough). Read Italian at lunch, stay reasonably awake by questioning why I bothered to come to class today. Receive package from Mom (yay!); spend hour reading New Yorker instead of typing paper (boo). Which brings us to the present, when I'm updating my LJ instead of typing.
The good news: as of 1:15 pm tomorrow, it will all be over. The bad news: it's going to be interesting actually getting to 1:15. This may require skipping my film screening ce soir.
More good news: I'll be in France in 4 days. Very, very good. Any messages for Becky P. or Carrie? Words of wisdom on how to write three five-page papers in 24 hours are also welcome.
