Where I'm at, briefly.
Jul. 3rd, 2006 06:55 pmHaving spent all day yesterday with no company, save the cats, I decided it was time to be sociable again. Hence I'm back in Tenleytown for the evening, waiting for Miss jenna Frary to get here so we can go to dinner. I'm surprised she didn't beat me here. Rather than hiking all the way over and getting back on the metro, I decided to be brave (and possibly foolish) and drive. I should mention here that I'm intimidated by my uncle's car because it is a Saab, and is therefore much smarter than me. Driving it makes me really nervous, because I'm equal parts afraid of other drivers and of myself causing some irreparable harm. For example, I stalled out twice...no, three times, at two different stop signs (they were on a hill), but I recovered and my fellow motorists were nice about it.
I'm in a better mood than I was Friday night, probably as a result of having two days to loaf around the house, not cook (leftovers are more exciting when you weren't there for round 1), and watch movies. In fact, my weekend was so mindless that I can't imagine what I'll do with myself tomorrow.
