Losing steam
Dec. 12th, 2006 01:11 amRemember how I was all motivated about moving to the city, and reasonably confident that I'd find a job like *that* once I didn't have to commute two hours round trip to do so? Yeah, that's not really working out for me.
Still waiting for the temp agency to call. Still waiting for the Big Theatre Company to return my call. Also waiting for Certain People to call, but that's not a money issue anyway, so.
The biggest reason that I need answers -- to any of these questions -- is just so that I can settle my plans for going home. I could really use a visit to Ohio right now -- so much so that today, for the first serious time, I thought "Maybe it would have been better if I'd stayed in Dayton." Of course, if I were still in Dayton then I wouldn't have a coffee date with my high school friend tomorrow. There's something to be said for New York.
Also, the annual First Lines meme (courtesy of
newredshoes)...can't say it makes me feel much better. Looking at this list, you wouldn't think I accomplished much at all this year.

Happy New Year, all! Lets cross our fingers and hope for the best.
ENG 332: Modern Drama (24 plays in 13 weeks! Woooooouch!)
Accomplished today: changing the "Home" entry in my cellphone from the 614-number to the new 937-number.
The good: The weekend was awesome.
Anyone else slightly disturbed/amused by the genital herpes PSAs on the Facebook?
General PSA: For those who haven't heard, I'm spending my summer in our nation's capitol again, this time working at the Big-Ass Library there (which shall remain nameless, 'cause I'm paranoid).
Hey there. Forgive the following ramble -- consider it the voice-mail that I'd leave for all of you if I could.
Another major update post in multiple parts.
I can't offer a well-organized entry tonight.
I may as well state up front that Flyboys (Tony Bill, 2006) is not something I would normally see.
asadakljasdf. Neil Gaiman's daughter = SO CUTE. Gah.eccentric_hat and I moved into our new apartment Saturday afternoon.

Date: 2006-12-13 12:23 am (UTC)How are you doing, by the way? I haven't talked to Miss Maura in a very long time, and she's my usual source for Reenie updates. :)

Date: 2006-12-13 12:21 am (UTC)I need to get over the boy thing, like yesterday. And there are *so* many good things about living in New York -- like, Marty's in a band! Katie lives in my neighborhood! There's crazy theatre crap going on all over the place! (Which actually deserves a mini-rant of its own, but regardless...)
Yes. I can be positive.
