stuck

So I'm, like, writing this update of Dante's Inferno for my Italian lit final? And it's really difficult because I've been, like, overwhelmed by everything else I had to do for finals for the past week and a half, or whatever. So I'm kind of...stuck, or whatever. Like really, really stalled out.

(Apparently, the answer is that I should just write in My So-Called Life-speak--but I feel like that might not fly with my professor.)

This is why it would be better to just drop Dante into the 21st century and use him as my protagonist. It's way harder to use myself, and try to come up with my "guide" (sure as hell isn't Virgil), and the various people and where to put them.

*throws confetti* pity party!

Good god! I just want to be finished and go home and sleep.

5:15 PM: I met with my writing mentor for 2 hours to discuss f***ing Dante. It was awesome. I made actual progress on my outline--now I just have to finalize some things (what feminist/ good writin' woman should be my guide through Hell? Ideas?) and get writing. Also, talked to [livejournal.com profile] krikkit911 this morning (for the first time in ages a week and a half, which was delightful. (Dahling, you called at just the right time. *is eternally grateful*)
