*is going to see HP: POA in 20 minutes*
Just had to share. :)
EDIT: 06/03, 3:10 AM We have a winner, folks: a Harry Potter movie that's actually well-made, with shots that made me go "Oooooh" from the cinematography instead of the set design. I do believe there are signs of actual acting from the kids (althoughmy beloved Ron gets the shaft again, sad to say)--and excellent performances from all the adults. I didn't really miss Richard Harris; Michael Gambon was more than adequate as Dumbledore. The CGI seems finally up to par, too. Buckbeak looked fantastic, and even Quidditch was more convincing than usual. And the John Williams score didn't make me want to beat my head against a wall, so that was a pleasant change.
There are quibbles, of course, but they're all pretty spoilery. I'll save them for Friday. YAYYYY! :)
