brief update

There will be more (there is always more to tell), but I'll be kicked out of the Uni library in about 15 minutes. Until that time...

I got to go to the beach today! The whole program was on a weekend trip to Devon, and the weather hit an unusual warm spell yesterday morning. (I didn't have to be constantly cold this weekend! Yay!) We were staying in Maypool hostel, near Dartmouth, about 6 miles from the sea--and what would you rather do: see yet another castle, or spend the morning on the shore?

It was warm and lovely, and marred only by the fact that I had to be reading Lord of the Flies the entire time. Am seriously about to be kicked out, so must run.

Yes...next time I'm there in the middle of the day with 45 other Americans, and I decide to go skinny dipping, I'll be sure to let you know. :P

Oh, it so is. I don't really want to spend three days reading about evil, evil children, thanks.

And am I alone in thinking that, if there had just been a few girls in that group, there'd have been far less chaos? Yet another example of why boys suck. ;)

I finally read the whole thing and I think my heart is going to explode! (no more caffeine right before getting online) Wow...little stairs to little British rooms...British people all over...talking in their British accents...eating British food...and *drinking British milk in a British pub*, don't think I didn't pick up on the unmitigated coolness of that!

I feel the need to clarify that the British milk was _not_ drunk in a pub, but rather in our basement during the course of several drinking games. I'm grown-up enough to drink actual alcohol when out in public--as you know from personal experience. :)
