adventures on the PVTA
Mar. 22nd, 2005 09:56 amOkay. So there's this Hampshire guy on the Tues/Thurs morning PVTA. He wears hats. And I'm in love.
Today brought us Hat #3: the cowboy hat, joining Hats #1 and 2: the newsboy cap (w/ matching scarf) and brown fedora. There was another new development today, which prompted the following bit of free verse poetry, copied from its original publication space on banannagoats's Facebook wall:
A Tuesday PVTA Poem
Today's theme is "Cowboy"
New hat
lumberjack coat
messenger bag
(canvas and rope -- I kid not)
khakis.
No boots
but (omg)
HARMONICA!
And yet I still sit
at
the opposite end
of
the bus.
I have issues.
In all fairness to myself and its player, the harmonica did not appear until we were off the bus and heading in opposite directions. And the best opener I could come up with: "Dude -- little early for harmonica, don't you think?" Instead, giggled to myself and almost whipped out the cell to call Goats right then -- but refrained.
World's biggest hopeless nerd, right here.
In other important PVTA news, the Pirate was sans hat, scarves, and boots -- I only recognized him by the coat. And he was wearing boring-ass sneakers. I'm so disillusioned.
EDIT 1:40 PM: The cowboy look turned out to be more "farmer": those weren't khakis, they were work-overalls. With the harmonica tucked into the bib pocket.
