I feel the need to be whiny right now, even though I actually had a fairly good day on top of a fairly good weekend.

Yeah, I know. I want to smack me upside the head, too.

But I keep worrying about England, summer plans, and being uprooted from the ol' homestead; in addition to the day-to-day concerns of imminent final papers, current papers, and being a good stage manager (yes, I'm still paranoid about it--and incidents like tonight don't help. grrr, actors). Not to mention actually putting on a show in four weeks.

All right. Focusing on the good: birthday cake for the March babies at tonight's rehearsal (yay actors!), writing letters to my grandpa and [livejournal.com profile] newredshoes, the kick-ass socks mentioned earlier today, studying in the library last night with Biz, Kloss, crewtons, and banannagoats, getting the latter hooked on My So-Called Life over the weekend, and oh--Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Guh. I feel like I need to see it again. I'll avoid describing the plot, because it's difficult to explain but not hard to follow on the screen.

Mostly, I really just want to see it again. The images and cinematography are so striking that I just want to watch it again to look at it. If it were in a museum, it would be that one painting you could spend hours looking at, just noticing little details and appreciating its aesthetic appeal. (You'd hope a film studies minor could be more articulate than that. Oh well.)

The performances are all top-notch, too. Possibly the best new movie of the year.

Anyway, I've got to actually focus on writing my Their Eyes Were Watching God paper. Blah. I've read this book too many times this year.

Also...I wants it, precioussss.
